Hello, I have a male as well. We expereince the same situation with him. Although literature I have read claims that ekkies are not particularly aggressive to significant others, mine is for sure. My partner is a bird lover as well and sometimes I think he feels bad that Jojo has not shown him the same affection as he does to me. When vet visits come around, try letting the lesser liked individual be the "rescuer" when the visit is all said and done. Also taking outtings with your ekkie with the lesser liked individual the main component might help, but also make sure that person knows how to handle an uncooperative bird and does NOT allow the bird to perch on the shoulder, shoulder perching means dominance unless you have a completely reliable "step-up" response!

here is our Ruby, she is now 7........ lost her mate 2 years ago when we decided to buy her, we are hoping she will fall for our Pierre who is now 2........ she hates me, but loves my husband, and always "grooms" him....... seems chemo meds make the birds very selective of their owners, she used to love me, but not any more......... thank goodness she loves my hubby Attachments:
